Just had a second listen of this collection of tracks from Black Ceiling that was released by Aural Sects on Tuesday. Definitely worth hitting up, especially as it is completely free! Full of the heavy punching hiphop drums and mangled tv/film samples we've come to expect/crave, get it!

They have run out of free downloads on Bandcamp. They only give you something like 100 or 200 free downloads a month. Either hold off and wait a couple of days for the free downloads to reset or pay $5. Personally, I think it is worth $5.

Say you set a release to Name Your Own Price with no minimum and someone chooses to pay $0.00. Does that download in turn count toward your free download cap?

^ I†† is right, we ran out when we thought we'd make it... SORRY. We've had 500 downloads in the past month so we thought we'd probably just be able to make do with the 10 or so we had yesterday. Try again on Sunday and it'll be free again.

Also, thanks for the Aural Sects love... it means a lot considering we've only been going a couple of months.

I think that the $0.00 does qualify as a free download so, unfortunately we can't even do that. We're putting some systems in place to make sure this NEVER HAPPENS AGAIN.

We've been considering different pay options... I think it's gonna be entirely determined by what the artist wants to do. Which is good, because those are kinda the values we started on. For the moment ALL profit after being taxed by bandcamp and paypal is going straight to the artist.
