i get this opinion sure. And of course everyone agree's he's a complete ignorant dickhead for lack of a better phrase. But to be honest Mr.Burzum's last few records have all been self-indulgent and pretty much plain boring.
For me, my love of Burzum is for his early work like it is with most people. There's no denying that Aske, Det Som Engang Var, Filosofem, basically all his output before the year 2000 are some great black metal records. I don't feel a sense of guilt listening to an old Burzum record from say 1993 - I think back then the music was basically 'viking metal' to me. Much of the lyrical content in those records is just old Norse Mythology / Paganism.

Nowadays though sure - the guy is nothing more than a self-obsorbed ignorant racist, but i still love his old music. To me there's no other Black Metal records that really come close to capturing that vibe so perfectly.

i dont really listen to as much metal these days as i used to except for black metal especially shit from Les Légions Noires i love their music and overall aesthetic

Doom/postmetal is my fav... Bands like Ufomammut, Amenra, Light Bearer are my favourites...

I also like Kreator, Venom, Heaven Shall Burn...

I also like stoner/psy rock
