Is there a reason why these forums are full of spam now? What is going on?

Have you read the advertisements? There is something unusual about them, the descriptions don't follow a single line of thought and have a dark tone. It's a bit spooky really, quite fitting considering the subject of this website. Witch-house music has once been described as the eerie soundtrack to the forgotten edges of the internet, these ads almost look like a random collection of automated messages lost and scrambled, now settling to this forgotten place. Art is Everywhere.

it does seem more like flarf poetry than advertisements proper. even if they are automated ads, they're so strange...

This is very interesting stuff, thank you for the link

I don't know if anyone is interested but I had the sense to screenshot some of the more unusual ads we were hit with, I'll put it together into an infographic and share it when i finish. Is anyone aware of any outlets(forums or other) for dark poetic or artistic content?

make it into a pdf and pass it off as an e-book. look into the "alt lit" community. that'd be a good outlet for such a thing. and i'd surely be interested in seeing it when you finish.

But these aren't the kind of advertisements that show up at the side of your window, they are actual posts made by someone...or something......

Also, Chrome has similar ad blocking extensions, every browser is susceptible to ads
