Decent lil EP from Svnset, who I didn't know before. Opening titular track is a wavey driving-into-sunset jam, with rolls of hi-hats serving as a fleeting wake-up call for its dreamy production. And while it matches the vibe of the photo on the cover, the rest of the tracks seem to be a bit out of place in comparison. They're darker, harsher and faster, but somehow don't leave a lasting mark after they finish. We get those classic bee hive synths, trap-based drum patterns, and simple melodies with some effects here and there. If IKEA were to make witch house that's how it would probably sound. It's approachable, fairly catchy and sounds "similar" to what others are doing, but after taking a step back one have to admit that it's not a lasting product. I don't want to make this sound like a negative review tough, I think there is a potential there, Svnset just needs to branch out a bit and experiment (for example the screwed ending of "sorry†odisappoin†you" was quite a cool surprise, making me think of those slopped __N__ myspace-era tracks).
