Debut CDR from CA-based duo of Amitai Heller and Loric Sih. Both of them played together before in no wave/goth band New Thrill Parade, before formin WB in 2009. Shifting their sound to more electronic-based, Water Borders still employ Amitai's deep, swallowed vocals and contrast them against gloomy beats filled with reverb ("Stick Stains") and omnious atmospheres ("I, Like Salieri"). Musically I feel in love with this EP almost instantaneously, but it took me a while to 'get' the singing. I really wish this would see a bandcamp reissue, but last time I spoke to Amitai he said he lost the files.
