Today I found out that this one-off witch house project by @Bleak-Reverie was in fact one of several he did over the last decade: https://bleakreverie.blogspot.com/ I remember when Phantasma Disques picked it up soon after the Bandcamp release, I was wondering back then where is this guy from because I've never heard of him. Well turns out he actually posted on this very forum but the thread got lost / sadly ignored at the time: viewtopic.php?t=1548
I came back to "Nocturne" today and I must admit I really do enjoy it, it ticks all the 'classic' witch house elements like dark ambient/droney soundscapes, hip-hop inspired beats, fuzzy synthlines, melodic keys and so on. But it's done in a very approachable, and well put together way, with catchy melodies and interesting arrangements. It is an album of its time though, but maybe that's a good thing? Listening to it today was actually quite fun, and even though I have it on CD I may get the original bandcamp version too.

I've been friends with this artist for a long time, he and I go way back. We explored music back when we were in high school, even did our own little black metal project. This album is one of my favourites of his work, and actually inspired me to do my own project.
He and i have plans to do some collaborative work in the near future in fact.

We have plans to do some witch house for certain, but other projects are definitely on the table as well. We have a Dungeon synth project in the planning stages, as well as some other things we've been picking away at for the last couple years.

regarding "Nocturne" - I've spotted an error on your bandcamp page. the album is marked with Feb 2012 as a release date, but the files were uploaded and published in Feb 2013. would that be a typo?

I originally released it in 2012 on a different bandcamp page but I reuploaded it in 2013 on it's own account around the time I released it with Phantasma Disques. I didn't even realize it was dated wrong, so thank you! I'll fix that. I still to this day have no idea what happened to the original release for Ego Death or why I may have taken it down. But it'll all be up in Febuary.

do you recall the name of that bandcamp page?

It was one I was releasing a few of my projects on but I divided them up later, so it doesnt exist anymore. I believe it was just called BleakReverieArts.
